About the Foundation

“Sigma Men Strengthening the Lives of Young Men”

The DTS Chapter Foundation, Inc. is the not-for-profit affiliate of the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.  The Foundation will help the fraternity to partner with the business community and other civic organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area to raise funds and awareness for programs that benefit young men in the city. Such programs include, but are not limited to: the Sigma Beta Club, the Sigma Leadership Academy, Adopt-a-Family, and the Caleb Brown Jr. Scholarship, that provides scholarships to Cincinnati area graduates who will be attending four-year colleges and universities. The Foundation, which has been active since the beginning of the year, also allows Phi Beta Sigma to support other causes such as the water crisis in Flint (MI) and flood disaster relief in the Gulf Coast.

Mission Statement

The DTS Chapter Foundation is dedicated to becoming one of the preeminent organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area, and is focused on advancing opportunities to develop its young men with wholesome values, leadership skills,  and social and cultural awareness at the most critical stage in their personal development. The Foundation is committed to providing needed services and assistance to our respective communities by:
  • Fostering relationships with public schools to provide services and mentoring to at-risk male youth in the Greater Cincinnati area
  • Uniting with the local business community to encourage entrepreneurship and growth
  • Connecting with other philanthropic organizations to support shared community service goals and supporting the local neighborhoods where male youth resides.

Vision Statement

Guided by the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, the DTS Chapter Foundation will emerge as an integral philanthropic asset to the Greater Cincinnati area and its residents. We will be a resource for educational access, scholastic achievement, economic opportunities, and health-related issues. With the shared vision of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s motto, “Culture for Service, Service for Humanity” as our inspiration, we will continue to strengthen our bond within the communities we serve.
